Janeen Isaacson
Janeen V. Isaacson has been a practicing litigator for almost 30 years. Prior to joining the firm, she spent 8 years as a prosecutor for the Office of Bar Counsel, including serving as Interim Bar Counsel.
She was hired by the Nevada State Bar for her litigation background to serve as the prosecutor designated to handle the largest and most difficult cases.
She prosecuted and obtained disbarments for the office’s high-profile and complex cases, including the case against Robert Graham, who was ultimately convicted of stealing more than $10 million in client funds.
During her tenure, Janeen served as lead counsel for more than 100 discipline trials. She participated in the investigation and prosecution of hundreds of other cases which were concluded without a Formal Hearing.
Janeen also handled dozens of appeals brought by Respondents and was one of the few prosecutors to participate in oral argument for a discipline matter before the Nevada Supreme Court.
Before joining the Nevada State Bar, Janeen was an equity partner with the litigation firm of Marks & Isaacson. She and her partner managed a staff of approximately 20 people and handled primarily civil and commercial litigation cases. Janeen participated in a number of complex litigation trials including one that spanned a period of six months.
Prior to starting her own firm, Janeen spent a number of years as in-house counsel with Travelers Insurance. She was the firm’s lead trial attorney for commercial litigation cases. She was recruited by Traveler’s Insurance while serving as an associate for the firm of Lorber Greenfield.
Janeen started as an associate in the San Diego office and was transferred to Las Vegas in 1998 to help establish the firm’s office in Nevada. She has made her home in Nevada for more than 20 years.
Janeen is admitted to practice law in Nevada, California, and Colorado.
Janeen’s experience as a Managing Partner of a law firm combined with her extensive regulatory background make her uniquely qualified to help guide law firms and lawyers through the pitfalls and complications of running a successful practice while strictly complying with the Rules of Professional Conduct and will be an asset to professionals governed by other regulatory bodies when disputes arise as to their compliance with codified standards of practice.
